learning pods

Under the supervision of a pod leader, students work together on unique activities or activities support lessons that are provided by the children’s existing schools. The pods, as much as possible plan lessons that are EXPERIENTIAL. Some pods form a place for group tutoring

Pods

• Teach children advocacy and independence:

  • helps students better acclimate to remote learning provided by existing schools

  • allow students to can learn together leaving parents time to accommodate to their individual work needs.

• Freedom from the pressure of the grade.

Pod leaders agree to

• Assess student learning by

  • observing responsiveness

  • requesting individual responses

  • Adapt the class to the groups needs

• Give learning experiences not available at home or school

  • helping parents who may have a subject weakness

  • helping advanced kids pursue their interests
